Where Is Mt Fuji?
I've been told that Mt Fuji is a little difficult to see in the picture below. Try this one, instead.

So, its a quiet, chilly Saturday, and we're at home, doing not much. All of a sudden, there's a knock at the door! OH NO, IT'S THE NHK MAN!!! HE'S COME TO COLLECT SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR A CHANNEL WE DON'T EVEN WATCH!!!!
Y2,780 (around $50) later, we've finally got rid of him, but this makes me think. NHK have four channels: two free-to-air (NHK1 and 3), and two cable (N1 and N2). We can't see the cable channels, so straight away, we have 50% less functionality for our $$. Looking at the TV guide for NHK1 and 3, only the news at 7pm and 10pm, and West Wing on Friday night are English programs that we have a chance of watching. The rest is crap like Dharma and Greg (3.25am), soccer (also stupid hours in the morning), and crap like baseball. So it sounds like NHK have a nice little scam going on...
Updates have been pretty slow recently. The only reason is that I am lazy.
We've added details on the sightseeing trips we've been doing.
Recently, the summer smog has lifted, which makes Japan a much nicer place to be. We have even been able to see Mt Fuji from our front door, as you can see from the picture on the right!
